
Tampa Tarpons Suspend Tonight's Game vs. Jupiter

TAMPA, Fla. - Tonight's second game between the Tampa Tarpons and the Jupiter Hammerheads has been suspended due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions. The game was suspended in the middle of the first inning, with the score 0-0. The game will be continued, Friday, July 2nd with the regularly scheduled game to follow.
Gates will open at 3:30 p.m. with the continuation game scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Game Two will begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of Game One. Both games will be played to seven innings in regulation.
Tickets from today's game may be taken to the George M. Steinbrenner Field box office and redeemed for the Friday, July 2nd double header only. Friday's "Red, White & Booze" $20 drink special will begin after game one is over and run until the opponent scores a run during game two.
