LAST NIGHT: The Tarpons collected 15 hits and gained a nine-run lead before holding on for a 10-8 win...Ben Ruta (4-for-4, 3B, 2B, 4RBI, 2R) and Diego Castillo (4-for-4, 2B, Sac-B, R, SB) paced the offense with four hits apiece...Ruta delivered a two-out, two-run double in the 1st...Tampa added four runs in the 3rd with an RBI single by Isiah Gilliam (1-for-5, RBI, 2R), a two-run single by Hoy Jun Park (1-for-3, 2BB, 2RBI) and an RBI groundout by Jason Lopez (0-for-5, RBI)...In the 4th, Dom Thompson-Williams (1-for-3, 2B, 2BB, RBI, 3R) hit an RBI double and Ruta added a two-run single...Ruta later tripled and scored on a passed ball in the 7th for a 10-1 lead...RHP Nick Green (W, 7-5) held the Marauders to one run through the sixth before yielding four runs in the 7th (6.2IP, 8H, 5R/4ER, 2BB, 3K, 2WP, 105P/67S)...LHP Justin Kamplain (2.0IP, 2H, 3ER, 1BB, 2K, HR, HB) tossed a perfect 8th before allowing a three-run HR by Albert Baur in the 9th...RHP Greg Weissert (SV, 3) entered with two outs in the 9th and struck out Hunter Owen to collect his second save in as many nights.

RUTA'S RAKING: Last night, Ben Ruta logged his first-career four-hit game and tallied a season-high 4RBI, giving him 7RBI over his last two games. The 23-year-old is batting .384 (33-for-86) with 18RBI and 14 runs scored over his last 23 games.

LET'S GO STREAKING: Dom Thompson-Williams extended his hitting streak to eight games with a 4th-inning double on Friday. Over that span, the 23-year-old is batting .393 (11-for-28) with 10 runs scored. DTW is batting .343 (12-for-35) with 2HR, 6RBI and 7BB in August (10 games).

VS. BRADENTON: Tonight will be the 12th of 16 games scheduled between the Tampa Tarpons and Bradenton Marauders. Tampa leads the season-series, 9-2. The Tarpons are 5-0 in those games played at LECOM Park. In eight games against the Marauders, Diego Castillo is batting .433 (13-for-30) with 9R, 3 doubles, 8RBI, 6BB and 2SB. Ben Ruta is batting .500 (14-for-28) with 9R, 1 double, 1 triple, 4HR, 12RBI, 2BB and 3SB in seven games against Bradenton.

1,000 K CLUB: Last week, the Tarpons' pitching staff became the first to reach 1,000 strikeouts in the Florida State League. Tampa leads the league in strikeouts, totaling 1,098K entering today. That is 99K more than the team ranked second (Clearwater - 999). Tampa is averaging 9.31K-per-game and is on pace for 1,303K, which would crush its own FSL single-season strikeout record set last season with 1,215K.

STRIKEOUTS FOR A CAUSE: The Tarpons have partnered with the American Cancer Society. Throughout the month of August, each time a strikeout is recorded by a Tampa pitcher, money will be raised for cancer research. The Tarpons are asking fans to donate $1.00 for every time a Tampa pitcher strikes out an opposing batter in the 31 games scheduled for August. To donate, fans must visit www.PledgeIt.org/TampaTarpons.

BABY BOMBERS: The Tarpons currently lead the league with 90 home runs. No other team has more than 85.

NO-HITTER HISTORY: On Tuesday, RHP Deivi Garcia (7.0IP) and RHP Christian Morris (1.0IP) combined for an eight-inning no-hitter in a 1-0 loss to the Clearwater Threshers in Game 2 of a doubleheader. It was the first time a no-hitter was thrown in a loss in the Florida State League since August 23, 1992, when RHP Scott Bakkum (Winter Haven) lost to LHP Andy Carter (Clearwater) in a double no-hitter. It was also Tampa's first no-hitter since RHP Jose Ramirez (6.0IP) and RHP Branden Pinder (1.0IP) combined for a seven-inning no-hitter vs. St. Lucie on July 12, 2012.

FOR STARTERS: RHP Albert Abreu (3-3, 4.28) will be activated off the 7-Day Disabled List to make his 11th start of the season. Placed on the DL on 6/29 and began a rehab assignment in the Gulf Coast League on 7/27, going 0-3 with a 23.40 ERA (5.0IP, 14H, 14R/13ER, 2BB, 5K, 1HB) in three starts...In his last start with Tampa, took the loss vs. Fort Myers on 6/28 (6.0IP, 7H, 5R/4ER, 3BB, 3K, 2HR, 96P/57S)...Began the season on the disabled list after undergoing emergency appendectomy in February.

VS. BRADENTON: Logged his longest start of the season in a no-decision vs. the Marauders on 6/8 (6.2IP, 3H, 4R/3ER, 3BB, 5K, 2HB, 105P/73S).

2017: Began the season with Single-A Charleston, going 1-0 with a 1.84 ERA (14.2IP, 3ER) in three games (two starts) before being promoted to Tampa on 4/23, where he went 1-3 with a 4.19 ERA (34.1IP, 16ER) in nine starts...Missed nearly three months over two stints on the disabeld list with elbow inflammation...made two rehab starts in th GCL, allowing 1ER in 4.1IP...Pitched for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League, going 1-2 with a 2.60 ERA (27.2IP, 8ER) in six starts...was named the AFL "Pitcher of the Week" for the period from 10/16-21.

Personal: 22-years-old, 6-2, 175 - Guayubin, Dominican Republic...Acquired from Houston, along with RHP Jorge Guzman, in exchange for C Brian McCann on 11/17/16...Originally signed by the Astros as a non-drafted free agent on 8/5/13....Ranked as the No. 6 Yankees prospect by Baseball America and the No. 4 Yankees prospect by MLB Pipeline...added to the 40-man roster on 11/20/17...full name is Albert Enmanuel Abreu Dias.
