Talons sign 7' center Bruce Zabukovec

Gallup, NM. The ABA Gallup Talons have signed center Bruce Zabukovec. Zabukovec, a 7', 235 pound center immediately will bring toughness and rebounding help to a deep Talons basketball team. "I know what my role is going to be on this team and I am ready to help out by hustling and rebounding and to use my experience to help mentor thise younger guys," said Zabukovec.
The 29-year old Zabukovec played his college ball at Seattle Pacific University and led his team to the Elite Eight. After college, he played professionally abroad in several countries including Brazil, Denmark, Mexico and Germany. In Germany, he averaged 14.9ppg, 8.5rpg and was second in the league with 2.9 blocked shots per game.
He has played for the Los Angeles Stars and the New Mexico Style in the ABA where he was a force in the paint with his rebounding and shot-blocking ability. "I am really excited to come to Gallup. I have respect for the community and the team and I just really want to help out in the community. I'm excited to play and I really think this team meshes well and can compete with anyone in the league," he added. It is expected that he will make an immediate impact for the Talons as he will team with forwards Bernard McIntosh and Louis Richardson to form one of the more formidable frontcourts in the league.
