Gallup Outlaws News Release
Gallup, NM. The ABA Gallup Talons have embarked on keeping business in their town by signing an apparel deal with a local vendor. Mr. Teez, owned by Johnny and Monica Greene, will be the Official Uniformer and Merchandiser for the Gallup Talons for the 2008-2009 season said Joe Kolb, team owner.
"I'm sure that I could get cheaper merchandise somewhere else," said Kolb, "but there are certain things you can't put a price tag on. And the quality of merchandise from Mr. Teez is excellent."
Kolb said the drive of the Talons is to keep as much business from the team pumping right back into the Gallup community. "We're one of the poorest areas in the country and to take revenue from the area to save a few bucks is not what a community-oriented program should be looking at," added Kolb.
Mr. Teez has established itself as a regional designer and supplier of athletic merchandise and marketing materials. For more information, email ghsat@hotmail.com or visit www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
