Buffalo Silverbacks News Release
The Buffalo Rapids have had a Change of Venue for the November 26th game vs. the Montreal Matrix. Due to special circumstances the game has been moved to Niagara Catholic High School at 520 66th street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
Niagara Catholic High School has been chosen in honor of Staff Sergeant Aram J. Bass whom tragically lost his life serving our Country this Holiday season. Sergeant Bass attended Niagara Catholic School and played Basketball there before entering the service.
Staff Sergeant Bass's wife is one of the Captains of the Buffalo Rush, the Rapids Pro Cheerleading team. The Rapids have chosen this intimate setting to honor of Staff Sergeant Bass's life and his wife's wish to dedicate her performance to him and celebrate his life. In addition to this ceremony all local Military are also to be honored at Saturday's Game. Doors open at 7:00pm and tip off is at 8:15pm.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
