
Talons Honor Armed Forces With Military Appreciation Game

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (JUNE 12, 2012) - The San Antonio Talons are showing appreciation for all U.S. military personnel with a "Buy One-Get One Free" ticket offer for the home game this Saturday, June 16 against the Iowa Barnstormers.
This Military Appreciation Game will acknowledge all U.S. military members for their honorable service to our country.
Throughout the season, the Talons have shown continual support of the men and women of our armed forces by offering discounts to U.S. military with an identification card, and by holding player and dancer meet-and-greet appearances at the many bases located throughout the city.
Retired Air Force officer and new Executive Director of Operation OASIS - Wounded Warrior and Family Support, Christopher Herring adds, "The Talons have done a great job supporting our injured men and women with celebrity appearances at our wounded warrior fundraising events, and hosting military personnel at the games with complimentary seats. The high scoring games brings added excitement to a military city that appreciates the game of football. We really hope to see the active duty families and veterans come out for a good time."
With a winning record now up to (9-3), the Talons hold the No. 2 spot in the League, and the No. 1 spot in the Central Division. The Talons latest 53-46 win over New Orleans marks the Talons sixth consecutive victor y, which currently is the longest winning streak in the league.
Kickoff against the Barnstormers is at 7 p.m. this Saturday at the Alamodome, with a free Coors Light Tailgate in Lot B of the Alamodome beginning at 3 p.m. The Talons are also offering a separate Buy One-Get One Free ticket offer to all Talons fans for tickets priced $25 and up.
