Talons announce South Dakota tryout camp
June 9, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Gallup Outlaws News Release
Gallup, NM. In an effort to reach out to more potential talent, particularly from the northern plains Native American tribes, the Gallup Talons have announced a second tryout camp to be held July 23-24, 9am-5pm, at the Upper Elementary School "Middle School", South Prairie Road, Eagle Butte, SD. Cost is $100 for the weekend. All players will receive an inaugural season Gallup Talons T-shirt and two days of great drills, workouts and play. For directions and lodging, call Rock LeBeau, 605 200 6419.
"Hopefully this effort will allow us to reach out to additional talent that may not have been able to come to the Gallup session," said Joseph Kolb, owner of the Gallup Talons. "
Similar to Navajoland, there is a wealth of talent among the northern tribes that has gone ignored for so long. For more information, also email Joe Kolb at ghsat@hotmail.com or visit www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
