Takacs Earns Batter of the Week Honors

Sioux Falls, SD - Sioux Falls Canaries outfielder Aaron Takacs has been selected as the American Association's PointStreak Batter of the Week, for the week ending July 10th.
Takacs has been an immediate contributor since being acquired from Lake Country via trade at the end of June. Through his first nine games in a Canaries uniform, Takacs is hitting .455 with five doubles and three homeruns, including a grand slam. He has also produced 12 RBI for the Birds after driving in twenty in forty games with the DockHounds earlier this year.
The Oviedo, Florida, native is the first Sioux Falls player to earn Batter of the Week honors since Logan Landon did so on June 20, 2021.
The Canaries have won seven of their last ten games and will resume play Thursday at Sioux City, following the league's all-star break.
