TACOMA, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance (7-5-6, 27 points) returns to Cheney Stadium to face Las Vegas Lights FC (5-13-2, 17 points) Thursday evening (7:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+). Tacoma looks to get back in the win column after suffering its first loss in its last nine matches (4-1-4) at Oakland on August 28. Las Vegas is currently winless in its last five, including a four-game losing streak. Defiance is undefeated at home this year with a 5-0-3 record.
Tacoma currently sits in fourth place in the Pacific Division standings. A win on Sunday would put the club in third place, level with Orange County SC on points but currently holding a +4 goal differential in head-to-head matches, the second tie-breaking category.
Following its match on Thursday, Tacoma faces a quick turnaround as it hosts division-leading Phoenix Rising FC on Sunday, September 5 (1:30 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
