Tacoma Looks to Get Back in Playoff Position at Sacramento Republic FC

TACOMA, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance (8-10-6, 30 points) looks to get back in the win column as it travels to Sacramento Republic FC (7-10-8, 29 points) Saturday evening at Heart Health Park (7:30 p.m. PT / ESPN+). This is the third time this season the two sides have met. The squads faced off on August 5 and September 22, a 1-1 draw and a 1-0 win for Sacramento, respectively. Both meetings took place at Cheney Stadium. The two sides will meet for one last regular-season matchup on October 20 in Sacramento.
Tacoma is currently level with Oakland Roots SC for fifth place the Pacific Division standings with 30 points. Defiance is currently two points behind LA Galaxy II for the fourth and final playoff position in the division.
Following its match this evening, Tacoma stays on the road to take on Austin Bold FC on Wednesday, October 6 (6:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
