TACOMA, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance (2-2-3, 11 points) hosts Real Monarchs (0-4-2, 2 points) for the second time this season Sunday evening (7:00 p.m. PT / mlsnextpro.com). The two sides met previously this year at Starfire Stadium, a 4-0 season-opening win for Tacoma that featured a brace from MLS NEXT Pro Golden Boot leader Alfonso Ocampo-Chavez. Tacoma is currently coming off a 1-1 draw at North Texas SC on May 8 that saw Defiance win the ensuing shootout to head home with the extra point.
Following Sunday's match, Wade Webber's side hits the road to take on Colorado Rapids 2 for the first time this year on May 22 (8:00 p.m. PT / mlsnextpro.com).
