TACOMA, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance (2-0-1, 7 points) beat Orange County SC (0-1-0, 0 points) by a score of 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Cheney Stadium, giving the club its second home win in four days. Keeping its hot start to the season alive, Alfonso Ocampo-Chavez scored the lone goal in the 21st minute when he found a ball from Danny Robles and was able to hammer home the goal into the right corner of the net. Tacoma was able to hold off a flurry of Orange County chances in the second half to seal the victory and its first shutout of 2021.

Tacoma has yet to lose during its 2021 campaign, recording two wins and a draw to start its season. Wade Webber's side now embarks on a long road stretch, not returning to Cheney Stadium until June 23rd against Real Monarchs. The next stop for Defiance is to Austin, Texas to take on Austin Bold FC on May 30th (6:00 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
