TUKWILA, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance (7-3-5, 29 points) defeated Houston Dynamo 2 (6-7-2, 22 points) 1-0 Sunday evening at Starfire Stadium. Dylan Teves scored early in the first half as Tacoma kept the clean sheet to give the home side all three points.
Teves scored his first of the year Defiance in the 18th minute, receiving a ball off a deflection in the right corner of the area and slotting a shot past the outstretched arms of Houston's Xavier Valdez.
