The D.C. Defenders remain unbeaten as they move past the Vegas Vipers by a score of 32-18.

After starting the game with another defensive stop on a fumble recovery on the first play of the game, the defenders managed to take a 6-0 lead early into the ball game after a 4 play 21-yard drive that ended with a D'eriq King touchdown. After a late field goal by Bailey Griffin, the Vipers trailed the Defenders 3-6 after the first quarter.

After 11 plays and 72 yards the defenders found themselves up by a score of 3-12 early in the second quarter after a 2nd touchdown by D'eriq King on a 2-yard score. A 2-point conversion by Jordan Ta'amu pushed the score to 3-14 early in the second quarter. Bailey Griffen's 2nd field goal of the day pushed the score at the half to 6-14.

The Defenders opened up the 2nd half forcing a turnover on downs and went up 17-6 after Matt McCrane kicked a 20 yard field goal. The scoring drive was 12 plays and 80 yards.

The Vipers were able to get into the endzone once the 4th quarter got started. After a 5 play, 72-yard drive capped off by a 26-yard pitch and catch between Luis Perez and Cinque Sweeting the score of the ball game was now 12-20. The Defenders responded to the touchdown with a 26-yard field goal, Matt McCrane's third of the ball game. The score was pushed to 12-23, with just under 7 minutes to go in the game.

Safety Santos Ramirez earned his 1st interception of the season after picking off Luis Perez's passed intended for Cinque Sweeting. The interception set up the Defenders final touchdown of the game, a 12-yard pass from D'eriq King to Jaquez Ezzard. The score was 12-26 with 2:40 left in the game. The Vipers would go onto score another touchdown, this time a 25-yard catch by Cinque Sweeting to close the gap to 18-26. The 3-point conversion attempt was no good. The Defenders put the finishing touches on the game by going up 18-29 on Matt McCrane's 4th field goal of the day.
