T-Bones Add Left Hander to Bullpen

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Kansas City T-Bones manager Andy McCauley has announced the signing of left-handed reliever Payton Tweddale. He joins the T-Bones after finishing his collegiate career at Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina.

Tweddale, 22, played four seasons with the Buccaneers setting a school record for career appearances with 104, and saves with 19. He led the team this past season with a 3.70 ERA. He also finished with a 2-4 record while logging 54 innings in 27 appearances. He walked 11 batters and struck out 40 while holding opponents to a .288 average.

To make room for Tweddale the T-Bones placed RHP Rick Rivas on waivers. Tweddale is available if needed in tonight's 5:05 game with the Joliet JackHammers at Silver Cross Field.
