ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Nov. 18, 2009 -The Albuquerque Thunderbirds announced that three players have been waived from the training camp roster. J'Nathan Bullock, Garrison Carr and Brian Kortovich were waived to trim the roster to 12.
The team is required to cut the roster to 10 prior to the season. Following is the list of players remaining on the training camp roster:

"Cutting players is by far the most difficult thing to do as a coach, especially when these are guys that I feel can make it in this league," said head coach John Coffino. "The League mandated that we make the decision today, and next week will be just as tough. I hope that we can ultimately see these guys in a Thunderbirds jersey down the road, but we just didn't have room for them at this time. It had nothing to do with talent, it was solely based on what we felt was best for the team."
The team will host a pre-season game against the Los Angeles D-Fenders on Wednesday, November 25 at Tingley Coliseum. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm. Admission is free with a non-perishable food item, or attendees can pay a $4 general admission. The team will be partnering with the Roadrunner Food Bank, with all food and half of the gate receipts going to the organization.
The T-Birds will begin the 2009-10 season against the Bakersfield Jam on Friday, Nov. 27 at 7:00 p.m. The team will then play its exhibition opponent, the Los Angeles D-Fenders, on Nov. 28 at 7:00 pm.
