Springfield Armor Waives Three Players

Springfield Armor News Release


SPRINGFIELD, MA Nov. 18, 2009 - The Springfield Armor waived guards Charles Easterling and Marcus Taylor, as well as forward Brandon Jones today. The active roster now stands at 13 players. However, Major Wingate, the Armor's Second Round Pick, has not shown up to training camp yet for personal reasons.

Following is the list of players remaining on the training camp roster:

1. Julian Allen: A 205 lb, 6'4- Guard from Georgia Southern University

2. Craig Austrie: A 185 lb, 6'2- Guard from The University of Connecticut

3. Brayden Billbe: A 234 lb, 6'10- Center from American University

4. James Cripe: A 250 lb, 7'0- Center from Northern Kentucky University

5. JamesOn Curry: A 195 lb, 6'3- Guard from Oklahoma State University

6. Kentrell Gransberry: A 250 lb, 6'9- Forward/Center from The University of South Florida

7. Adam Harrington: A 210 lb, 6'5- Guard from Auburn University

8. Perrin Johnson: A 215 lb, 6'6- Forward from The University of Louisville

9. Maurice Maxwell: A 190 lb, 6'4- Guard from Goldey-Beacom College

10. Dante Milligan: A 210 lb, 6'4- Forward from The University of Massachusetts

11. DeSean White: A 255 lb, 6'8- Forward from Northwood University

12. Tre Whitted: A 215lb, 6'4- Guard from Marshall University

13. Major Wingate: A 255 lb, 6'10- Center from The University of Tennessee

The team will travel to Augusta, ME for a preseason game against the archrival, and fellow D- League member, the Portland Red Claws, on Monday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. The opening day roster will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Opening Night, proudly presented by Six Flags of New England, on November 27th at 7 p.m., will be a red carpet event complete with non-stop family-style entertainment, along with contest opportunities, giveaways and much more for those in attendance. Six Flags of New England will be bringing along many familiar characters to greet fans as they enter the arena. Also featured in this historic event is a pre-game presentation involving the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, and at halftime, The Workshop, a dance group out of Springfield, MA, will perform.

Starting as low as $5, tickets for opening night and all Springfield Armor home games can be purchased at the MassMutual Center Box Office located at 1277 Main Street in Springfield.
