
T-Birds Fall to Tips But Remain in Wild Card Playoff Spot

KENT - The Everett Silvertips defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 2-0 Sunday night at accesso ShoWare Center.
The T-Birds travel to Kelowna to face the Rockets on Friday at 7:05pm. They host the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday at accesso ShoWare Center at 6:05pm. Single game tickets are on sale online on the T-Birds website and at the accesso ShoWare Center box office.
The T-Birds are now 18-22-2-1 and are in the second Wild Card playoff spot in the Western Conference, six points ahead of the Tri-City Americans who are 14-22-4-1. Vancouver, with a record of 19-19-2-2, is in the first Wild Card playoff spot, three points ahead of the T-Birds with a game in hand.
Everett took a 1-0 lead at 7:26 of the third period on a penalty shot goal from Michael Gut and then made it 2-0 on a power-play goal by Wyatte Wylie at 15:13.
Seattle pulled goalie Roddy Ross with 2:28 left in the third period for an extra attacker. The T-Birds pressured and forced Everett goalie Dustin Wolf to make several saves.
Everett iced the puck with 41 seconds left in the game and the T-Birds called a timeout to set up a play. Seattle kept the pressure on out of the timeout but were not able to find the back of the net.
The T-Birds are now taking orders for Flex-24 Ticket packages. Fans that purchase the 24-Flex Ticket Package will be able to select any available premium seat for any game, in any ticket combination, during the 2019-20 season.
