T-Birds Acquire Seidel from Broncos

KENT, November 10, 2015 - Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced the team has acquired right wing Owen Seidel and a fifth round selection in the 2016 Bantam Draft from the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for center Kaden Elder.
"We feel Owen has very good potential to be a solid two way player for us now and in the future," said Farwell. "He had excellent numbers in midget last year and we are excited to add him to our team.This trade will give Kaden a fresh start in Swift Current and a chance to earn more of an offensive role this season."
Seidel, from Richmond, British Columbia, has played in seven games this season with the Broncos but has not registered a point.
Elder has played in 14 games this season and has two goals. In 67 career games with the T-Birds Elder has three goals and two assists for five points.
The T-Birds play two games this weekend in Victoria against the Royals. The games are Friday and Saturday at 7:05pm.
The T-Birds next home game is Tuesday, November 17, against the Broncos at ShoWare Center at 7:05pm.
T-Birds single game tickets for the 2015-16 season are available online at the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 am to 5 pm Saturday game days at 10 am and Sunday game days at noon.
T-Birds season tickets are currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.
