T-Birds Acquire LeBlanc from Prince Albert

Seattle, July 10, 2008 - Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced the team has acquired left wing Devon LeBlanc from the Prince Albert Raiders for a conditional fifth round selection in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.

"We are very happy to add Devon to our roster," said T- Birds head coach Rob Sumner. "We feel his size and experience will complement our returning forward group."

Last season with the Raiders LeBlanc had 31 points on 17 goals and 14 assists. He had a plus/minus rating of minus-7 with 67 penalty minutes. "I am excited to join the T-Birds," said LeBlanc from Brandon, Manitoba. "Whenever I have faced them in the past, they have always been a tough team to play against. I am looking forward to joining the team at Training Camp."

LeBlanc is expected to attend the New York Rangers training camp this fall.

In four seasons in the WHL LeBlanc has played in 212 games and has 31 goals and 36 assists with 115 penalty minutes.

T-Birds training camp for the 2008-09 season starts Monday, August 25, and will take place at Kent Valley Ice Centre.
