T-Birds Acquire Brad Deagle from Red Deer Rebels

Kent,October 5, 2011 - Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell announced the team has acquired defenseman Brad Deagle from the Red Deer Rebels for a conditional pick in the 2013 Bantam Draft.

Deagle is a 19-year-old defenseman from Lethbridge, Alberta. Last year he appeared in 55 games with the Rebels and had 12 points, all on assists, with 51 penalty minutes.

Deagle is a left-handed defenseman who is 6'1 and 188 pounds. He was drafted by the Rebels in the 3rd round, 62nd overall, in the 2007 Bantam Draft.

The T-Birds have back-to-back home games this weekend. They face the Prince Albert Raiders on Friday at 7:35pm at ShoWare Center. The T-Birds take on the Victoria Royals are at 7:05pm on Saturday at ShoWare Center. Deagle is expected to be in Seattle and eligible to play in these games.

The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.
