Syracuse, NY- The Syracuse Crunch were toppled by the Adirondack Phantoms 6-1 tonight, in their final regular season meeting, at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

Adirondack goaltender Scott Munroe stopped 42 of 43 shots faced tonight with the lone Crunch goal coming from Tyler Johnson on the power-play in the final two minutes of the third period.

The loss drops the Crunch to 26-14-2-4 overall and brings their road record to 16-6-0-2. Tonight was the last of eight regular season meetings between the Crunch and Phantoms, the Crunch took the season series 4-1-1-2.

Adirondack opened the scoring 7:02 into the first frame with a goal from Erik Gustafsson. Gustafsson's shot made it past a screened Crunch netminder Riku Helenius for a 1-0 Phantoms lead.

The Phantoms added three goals in the middle frame starting with a one-timer from Matt Mangene just 37 seconds into the period. Jeff Dimmen added a goal at the 10:56 mark and David Laliberte scored a power-play goal at the 12:34 mark for a 4-0 Phantoms lead after 40 minutes of play.

After allowing four goals on 14 shots Helenius was replaced in goal by Dustin Tokarski. Tokarski went on to finish the night with 11 saves on 13 shots.

Cullen Eddy was the first Phantom to solve Dustin Tokarski just 1:30 into the third period. Laliberte tipped in a Jason Akeson shot for his second goal of the night and a 6-0 Phantoms lead at the 13:21 mark.

Johnson ended Munroe's shutout bid by scoring a power-play goal with 82 seconds remaining. The Crunch power play unit finished the night 1/7.
