Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC News Release
Colorado Springs, Colo. (Wednesday, August 26, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC remain in a very tight race for the playoffs in the USL's Western Conference.
The Switchbacks fell Wednesday night to the Real Monarchs SLC 2-1 in Utah. While the Switchbacks had several chances at goals, the only score of the night came in the 45th minute when Chandler Hoffman hit a rebound into the net.
Wednesday night's loss pushes the club down a spot in the standings, but not out of contention for the playoffs. The Switchbacks (12-9-3, 39 pts.) are only three points out of first place.
The Switchbacks have four more games to play in the USL regular season. The next match is also on the road, this time in Portland. The Switchbacks will take on the Timbers 2 Saturday, September 5th at 4 p.m. You can catch the match live on YouTube and on Gazette.com.
