Switchbacks Look to Playoffs as they Hit the Road

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Monday, August 17, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC are looking to grab another three points on the road, this time in Seattle.
The Switchbacks will take on Sounders FC 2 on Wednesday, August 19th .
"This time of the season, with six games remaining, we are looking for positive results," said Switchbacks FC Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "The team is playing with a lot of confidence and we are looking forward to a solid performance in Seattle."
This is the second meeting between these two clubs. They last met on the pitch at Sand Creek Stadium on July 18th . That match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Currently, the Switchbacks (12-7-3, 39 pts.) stand one point from the top of the table after Friday's 3-3 draw against Sacramento Republic FC. Sounders FC 2 (11-8-3, 36 pts.) are three points behind the Switchbacks.
"It's a massive game," said Switchbacks FC Team Captain Luke Vercollone. "We are looking to bounce back after a tough tie and show the character we've had all season. We have a lot of confidence going into the game and are expecting a good result. We're ready to battle."
The match is this Wednesday, August 19th in Seattle. It starts at 2 p.m. The start time was changed about a month ago because of a scheduling conflict with Sounders 2. As always, you can catch the match live on YouTube.
