Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC News Release
Colorado Springs, Colo. (Monday, June 22, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC are hoping to earn another three points Wednesday and move up in the USL rankings.
Switchbacks FC (8-5-0, 24 points) are also looking for revenge. The club lost to OC Blues FC (5-5-1, 16 points) last month, when the two met in Orange County. Switchbacks FC came out strong in that match, but a couple of mistakes led to opportunities for OC Blues FC. Switchbacks FC don't plan on letting that happen again, especially with the home-field advantage.
"This is a big game for the Switchbacks," said Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "With a win, we go to the top of the league half way through the season. These players are determined to keep our winning streak in the month of June going."
Switchbacks FC have been on a home-winning streak, having won the past five home USL matches.
The match starts at 7 p.m. at Sand Creek Stadium this Wednesday, June 24th , when the team will be honoring Team USA.
