Switchbacks FC Signs Versatile Ismaila Jome

Colorado Springs, CO - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today the signing of Ismaila "Ish" Jome, pending USL Championship and USSF approval.

"Ish is a big addition to the team. He is a technical and dynamic attacking defender and he has quality to get in the attack and ability to find the final pass," said Switchbacks head coach, Steve Trittschuh. "He has a lot of experience and will fit in perfectly with the way we play."

Jome has played the role of a winger as well as a wing back in his professional experience, using his speed and footwork to create space down the flanks. He scored just seven minutes into his professional debut with Minnesota United FC in the NASL before transitioning to MLS in 2017 with Minnesota. The 24-year-old most recently spent the 2018 season with Nashville SC in the USL. Jome supplied two assists in 19 appearances last season for Nashville.

"I'm happy to be joining the Switchbacks this season as it's an exciting franchise in the USL Championship in a great city," said Jome. "I look forward to doing my best to help the team get back into the playoffs and compete for a championship."
