Sweets Take Game Two Behind Early Offensive Barrage

Walla Walla, Wa- The Sweets won game two in comfortable fashion on Tuesday night, 11-0 over the Senators. It was a relief for the team after blowing a seven run lead in the previous game.

The Sweets got out front on offense early with all 11 runs being scored in the first four innings. The main highlights were a two-run triple by Kyle Dozier in the first and a two-run home run by Myles Hager in the second. In the fourth inning, the Sweets put up five runs and started off the frame with five consecutive hits.

Dozier ended his day going 2-2 with three RBI and Hager went 3-4 with four RBI.

One of the biggest takeaways from the game was the start by Kyle Molnar on the mound for the Sweets. He went five innings, only giving up two hits and striking out six on 55 pitches. He also retired the first 10 hitters he faced in his best outing of the season thus far.

Joe DeMers also came on in the ninth inning and struck out the side on just 14 pitches.
