The SwampBats when on to score 4 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Keene then tacked on 6 more runs in the bottom of the sixth after three more errors by Vermont. Andrew Houde, the winning pitcher, came in relief for the SwampBats starter Colby Dunlop. Houde gave up one run on one hit, a solo home run by Straton Podasta in the top of the 5th inning. The losing pitcher, Vermont's Zach Lutner, gave up 2 runs over 2 2/3 innings.
