Swamp people are coming

LAFAYETTE, LA -When the IceGators host the Augusta Riverhawks on Saturday, January 29 the IceGators will honor a few Louisiana legends, the Swamp People. On Saturday, Junior and Willie of the History Channel's Swamp People will be at the game.

Swamp People is a show that follows people deep in the heart of Louisiana. The History Channel followed swampers through a time of the year that is crucial to their survival: the 30-day alligator-hunting season.

Junior and Willie will be signing autographs and participating in a shoot out on the ice. During the game they will be seated behind the penalty box as well as participating in an honorary puck drop at the center of the ice before the game. During the first intermission Junior will be challenging Willie in a shoot off. Then during the second intermission the two Swamp People will be signing autographs in the second level of the Dome.

You can catch all of the Swamp People action on the History Channel at 8:00 PM on Thursday nights.

The ‘Gators remain at home on Saturday, January 29 for Coushatta Casino night when they host the Augusta Riverhawks.
