Swamp Foxes' Schedule Finalized

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – The final version of the 2003 arenafootball2 schedule was released today from the af2 league offices in Chicago. The Charleston Swamp Foxes had one opponent change in the updated version, but maintained the integrity of the remainder of the schedule.

The Swamp Foxes' schedule now features six teams that made the af2 playoffs in 2002, two of which are divisional rivals. Charleston will face-off versus three teams, Birmingham, Bossier City, and expansion Cincinnati, for the first time in the teams' histories.

The Swamp Foxes open their fourth year of play with a trio of road games, including a season-opening trip to divisional-rival, Norfolk on April 5. The Swamp Foxes travel to Florida on April 12 and to the Cincinnati Swarm on April 19 marking two of the three longest trips on the season. Cincinnati replaces Tennessee Valley on the original schedule released last week. The Birmingham Steeldogs will be the opponent in the 2003 home opener on April 26 at the North Charleston Coliseum.

In addition to facing each division team at each other's venues, the home slate also includes visits from the Macon Knights (June 21) and Columbus Wardogs (July 19) in non-divisional play, while the travel schedule also has Charleston going to Bossier City on July 12.

All regular season home games will take place on Saturday and are schedule for 7:30 pm kickoffs.
