Xplorers Announce 2003 Schedule

Memphis Xplorers News Release
Southaven, MS â The Memphis Xplorers announced this afternoon their schedule for the upcoming 2003 af2 season. The Xplorers will battle the Midwest Division rival Arkansas Twisters twice, including a July 12th match up at the DeSoto Civic Center. The Xplorers will also tangle twice with the division rival Bossier City Battle Wings with a May 30th clash at the DCC that is the only Friday game on the home schedule. In addition the campaign sends the Xplorers to Green Bay to tangle with the expansion Blizzard and to Florida to tilt with Cape Fear to close the regular season. New teams in Cincinnati, Ohio and Green Bay Wisconsin highlight af2's fourth season, which kicks off in late March and features an 18-week, 216-game schedule with 27 teams. Each club plays eight home and road games in the regular season.
Additional highlights include perennial af2 power Tennessee Valley visiting the DCC on July 5th. The Tulsa Talons are on the schedule twice as a Midwest Division rival, visiting on May 3rd.

TRYOUT THIS SATURDAY
The Xplorers will hold an open tryout this Saturday at Horn Lake High School. Registration for the camp begins at 9:00 AM at Horn Lake High School; the tryout begins at 10:15 AM. Cost is $40 per participant, payment may take the form of cash or money orders, absolutely no checks will be accepted. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and will perform a variety of drills.
