Cleveland Force News Release
Forward Antonio Sutton wasted no time showcasing his skills in his Force debut on this weekend. Sutton recorded his first point as a member of the team as he assisted on the second Cleveland goal of the night in the second quarter on Friday night. Antonio then followed the assist up by scoring his first goal as a Force player. The goal tied the game at 5-5 late in the fourth quarter in Friday's contest. In his two games, he has recorded the goal, an assist, nine shots and one block.
WESTWARD BOUND:
The Cleveland Force will play host to two Western Division opponents for the final time this season on Friday night and Sunday afternoon. The Force is currently 3-3 this season against teams from the West. On Friday night, Cleveland will look for their first victory of the season against Monterrey in the Fury's last trip to the Convo. The Force will then host the San Diego Sockers for the final time on Sunday and will look for their eight straight win against the Sockers dating back to last season.
DYNAMIC MONTH:
Force forwards Hector Marinaro and Zoran Karic fondly known as the "Dynamic Duo" had a stellar month of January. The duo combined for 13 goals and 14 assists for a total of 27 points in seven games in the month. Marinaro tallied 10 goals and added four assists while Karic had three goals and 10 assists, including a season-high six assists in one game.
POST-GAME HEADQUARTERS:
The Cleveland Hilton Garden Inn and Harvey's Bar is the official post game party headquarters of the Cleveland Force. After every home game, Force players will be in attendance to talk with fans as well as sign autographs. The Hilton Garden Inn is located at 1100 Carnegie Avenue between the Convocation Center at CSU and Jacobs Field. The Force players will arrive 30-45 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
FORCE RADIO NETWORK:
Cleveland Force fans will be able to follow the club all season long on the Force Radio Network. All thirty-six regular season games, as well as all playoff games will be aired. The flagship station for Force soccer is WHK 1220 AM in Cleveland and WHKW 1440 AM in Warren. Thesportsking.com will be streaming all the games live on the Internet at www.thesportsking.com.
