GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Peter Pappas, Philadelphia KiXX

Pappas went 2-0 with 38 saves on 45 shots faced (.844 save percentage) for the KiXX last week. The 31-year-old turned away 14 of 18 shots in a 5-4 win over the Monterrey Fury on Thursday, January 29, and stopped 24 of 27 shots as Philadelphia beat the Cleveland Force 7-3 on Saturday, January 31. Pappas, a six-time All-Star, now ranks third in the MISL in wins (12), goals against average (4.48), and saves (259). He also ranks fourth with 1,084 minutes played, and is second in save percentage at .762. This is the fourth weekly award of the season for the Toronto native, who was also named Goalkeeper of the Week on October 6 and 13 and January 19. Pappas was also the League's Goalkeeper of the Month for October.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Mauricio Vincello, Philadelphia KiXX

Vincello scored three goals and blocked seven shots in two games last week, leading a defense that allowed only seven goals in two games. The 26-year-old accounted for two of Philadelphia's five goals and blocked four shots in a 5-4 victory over Monterrey last Thursday, and added a goal and three more blocks as the KiXX defeated the Cleveland Force 7-3 on Saturday. Vincello, who hails from Salto, Argentina, has now recorded 26 blocks (second on the team) in 17 games this season. He becomes the second KiXX player to earn weekly defensive honors this season, joining Pat Morris (December 29 and January 12).

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Genoni Martinez, Monterrey Fury

The reigning Defender of the Year led all MISL scorers last week with four goals and two assists for six points in two games, moving into second place in the League with 44 points on the season. The 28-year-old recorded two goals and an assist in both of the Fury's contests (a 5-4 loss to Philadelphia on Thursday, and a 9-6 loss to Milwaukee on Sunday), and also added a pair of blocks. Martinez, the highest-scoring backliner in the MISL, is currently the only player to rank in the League's the top five in points, goals (24, third overall), assists (20, fifth overall), and blocks (43, third overall). This is the second Offensive Player of the Week Award for Martinez this season (January 12 was the first); the Mexico City native has also won Defensive Player of the Week honors twice (October 6 and November 24).
