Sussex Skyhawks News Release
Sussex, NJ (March 17, 2006) - Ben Wittkowski, General Manager of the Sussex Skyhawks announced today the team will be hosting a job fair at Skylands Park on April 12th from 6-8 pm. At the event, the team will be interviewing candidates for many different job opportunities at Skylands Park this season. Applications will not be accepted in advance for any position.
"Being in a position where we can supply the people of Sussex County with employment opportunities is just another way that we as an organization can be part of the community," said Seth Bettan, Director of Ticket Sales and Operations for the Skyhawks. "Because Skylands Park is going to be such a great place to be this summer, we are committed to making it a fun place to work as well."
The Skyhawks will be hiring for such positions as: ticket takers, ticket sellers, ushers, suite hosts, concession stand workers and pro shop workers. Because interviews for these positions will be conducted at the job fair, all applicants should come prepared to meet with team officials and have all application information on hand.
"Everything that we do as a team, we do with the community's best interest first," added Wittkowski. "As I have stated before, we committed to both providing Sussex County with a great baseball team and becoming part of this community. There is no better way to accomplish this than providing a great place for people to work."
The new Skyhawks organization has made changes that will make Skylands Park a family friendly environment everyone can enjoy and, as promised, the Skyhawks have cut prices across the board. Individual game tickets are now $10 for box seats, $8 for reserved and $6 for general admission bleachers. Parking fees will now be $3 per automobile. The Skyhawks will also provide a new, updated concessions menu with lowered food and beverage prices.
The Skyhawks are also offering many different group discounts packages. Season tickets are available for $380 for box seats and $300 for reserved seats. Also available are 6, 12 and 25 game mini-plans, picnic and birthday packages. Please visit the team's newly launched website, www.sussexskyhawks.com, for more information.
As part of the independent Can-Am league, the Skyhawks will host 46 exciting games against the Brockton Rox, Nashua Pride, New Haven Cutters, New Jersey Jackals, North Shore Spirit, Les Capitales de Quebec, and the Worcester Tornadoes. Standard game times are 7:05 pm Monday through Friday, 5:05 on Saturdays and 2:05 pm on Sundays.
