3B Andy Laroche, who is two shy of leading professional baseball with 21 home runs, was promoted to the Suns from Class A-Advanced Vero Beach today. Laroche hit .333 in 63 games with the Dodgers and was named a Florida State League All-Star. His bio is available in the Suns media guide. RHP Edwin Jackson, who was one strikeout shy of leading the SL in 2003, rejoins the Suns after going 3-7 with a minor-league high 8.62 ERA (among qualifiers) with Class AAA Las Vegas. Still just age 21, Jackson's "stuff hasn't gone backwards at all. Sometimes, you need to make a move to get someone back on track," Dodgers GM Paul DePodesta told the Los Angeles Times. Jackson will start Friday.

INF Russell Mitchell was reassigned to Rookie-level Ogden on Thursday. Mitchell appeared in three games, going 1-for-5 with a bases-clearing double Sunday.
