
Suns Hand Stars Fifth Straight Loss

Huntsville, AL-The red hot Jacksonville Suns continued their winning ways Sunday by handing the Huntsville Stars a 7-1 loss at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville. The Suns won their sixth straight game.
The Stars were able to avoid the shutout in the bottom of the ninth with two outs. Shea Vucinich doubled down the left field line scoring Yadiel Rivera who reached on an error.
Jacksonville got an excellent start from Justin Nicolino(10-3). The left-hander tossed five shutout innings and held the Stars to just five hits.
The Suns offense got busy against Huntsville starter Jed Bradley(4-6) in the top of the first inning.
Austin Nola led off the game by singling. The next batter Austin Barnes launched his sixth homerun over the left field wall giving the Suns a 2-0 lead.
The Suns took a 3-0 lead in the fourth. Joe Benson who led off with a walk eventually scored on one of the three wild pitches by Bradley in the inning.
Jacksonville put the game away in the fifth. The Suns got four straight hits, including an rbi single by J.T Realmuto making it 4-0.
With the bases loaded, Isaac Galloway cleared the bases on a three-run double to give the Suns a 7-0 advantage.
Bradley, who took the loss went 4.1 innings and gave up hits on seven runs, a season high.
The Stars dropped their fifth straight game and will try an avoid the series sweep in the series finale Monday afternoon.
The Stars(19-25, 65-49) trail the Suns(64-49,28-15)4-0 in their five game series which will conclude Monday afternoon. The Stars will have LHP Brent Suter(9-8, 4.34) on the mound. Jacksonville will send RHP Dustin Mosley(1-1, 3.46) to the hill. The game can be heard with Steve Jarnicki on the internet only starting at 12:45 PM CDT on wtkiradio.com.
