Suns Complete Legendary Five Game Sweep

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (54-33) completed a five-game sweep of the Lexington Legends (43-44), 6-3, at Municipal Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Suns starting pitcher Bobby Hansen, Jr. did not factor in the decision, allowing three runs over 4.1 innings on four hits and six walks. Ritchie Mirowski (2-0) earned the win with two scoreless innings out of the bullpen, while Greg Holt (2) notched his second save of the season.

Matt Skole blasted his league-leading 21st first home run of the season, upping his RBI total to 73, also tops in the league. Steven Souza, Jr. hit a home run in his second consecutive game, going back-to-back with Skole in the first inning. Justin Miller also hit a long ball for the Suns, his seventh of the season and first at Municipal Stadium.

Legends starter Jonas Dufek (5-2) suffered the loss, giving up six runs on four hits through four innings of work. Right fielder Mike Kvasnicka went 1-for-4 with 2 RBIs for the lead the Lexington offense.

The Suns will enjoy a scheduled off-day on Monday before traveling to Greensboro to play the Grasshoppers on Tuesday. Hagerstown will send RHP Chris McKenzie (2-2, 8.19) takes the mound against Greensboro's right-hander Scott Lyman (1-2, 8.53).
