Sundogs Announce "Adopt-A-Dog" Program for Fans
October 25, 2011 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Arizona Sundogs News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - This season fans can increase their connection to an Arizona Sundogs player.
On Saturday, November 19th, after the Sundogs conclude their game against the Texas Brahmas, fans can stick around for a postgame auction to "adopt" a player for the season.
Fans and families will have 18 chances to adopt a player in the live auction. Those who adopt players will receive:
- A picture with their player immediately after the auction.
- Autographed stick from their player after the last regular season home game.
- A patch on each player's jersey with the adopting family's name.
- Adopting family's name on the Sundogs website next to their player.
- Dinner with your player and other adopting families after a future home game. (Families will sit at a table with their adopted player.)
- Recognized on the ice with the other adopting families before a future home game.
At the end of the season each adopting fan/family will receive the game-worn jersey of their adopted player autographed and with the family-name patch.
Patches will take time to order after the auction, and will be placed on each player's jersey in time for the Sundogs home game on December 17th against the Tulsa Oilers.
Should an adopted player be part of a team transaction (i.e. trade, release, call-up, etc.) throughout the year, families will automatically pick-up the incoming player as their new adopted Sundog.
For more information on the "Adopt-A-Dog" program, please contact the Sundogs at 928-759-6600.
