Tulsa's Ian Keserich Named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week

TEMPE, AZ (October 25, 2011) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa's Ian Keserich has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending October 23, 2011.

The Cleveland, Ohio native won the award last season twice (Dec. 14 and Jan. 25) and with his brilliant two games to start the 2011-12 season, was a logical selection to be the first winner of the award for this year's campaign.
Keserich stopped 63 of 64 shots (.984 save percentage) helping his team to a 2-0 start for the second consecutive season.
The 6-2, 200-pound net minder turned away 33 of 34 shots in the season opener for the Oilers, a 4-1 win over Allen, including stopping 18 of 19 shots in the third period. Keserich would come back the next night to stop all 29 shots he faced earning a 3-0 victory over the Texas Brahmas and his first shutout of the season.
In his fourth CHL season and second with Tulsa, Keserich is coming off a career-high 22 win season and has five career CHL shutouts.
