Sunday's Series Opener at Mobile Postponed by Rain

MOBILE, AL - Sunday's series opener between the Mississippi Braves and Mobile BayBears at Hank Aaron Stadium has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part one of a Monday doubleheader beginning at 5:05 pm CT.
Monday's contests will be seven innings in length, with game two starting 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. The Braves are coming off of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday and winning four of five from the Chattanooga Lookouts. The M-Braves are tied for the second-best record in the Southern League since July 1 at 26-18, and are just 3.5 games back in the Southern League South Division standings, with 16 games remaining the 2018 regular season.
Mississippi is 8-7 in seven-inning contests this season and will be playing their second doubleheader of the year at Mobile on Monday. The BayBears and Braves split a twin bill back on April 23 at Hank Aaron Stadium.
The pitching matchups for Monday's doubleheader have yet to be determined.
