JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Sunday's series finale between the Mississippi Braves and Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp has been postponed by rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at a to be determined date in the final series of the season in Jacksonville, Aug. 30-Sept. 2.
Sunday's game was to feature the Double-A debut of Atlanta Braves No. 3 overall prospect Ian Anderson. That debut will now be made at Trustmark Park. The M-Braves close out the road trip with a 4-5 record and will return home to begin a five-game homestand against the Chattanooga Lookouts on Tuesday at 7:00 pm. The M-Braves trail first-place Pensacola by 6.0 games with 21 games remaining in the 2018 regular season.
On Tuesday, fans can exchange a Polk's Meat Products label at the Trustmark Park Box Office for two tickets for the price of one (excluding Suite Level and Club Level seats). The M-Braves have 10 regular season home dates remaining in 2018, with back-to-back fireworks nights, Aug. 17-18 and Aug. 24-25, following those Friday and Saturday home games. Promotions and tickets can be found at www.mississippibraves.com/tickets.
