
Sunday's Road Contest at Hickory Postponed

HICKORY, N.C. - Due to inclement weather in the Hickory area, today's West Virginia Power game against the Hickory Crawdads has been postponed. The two teams will play two seven-inning games when the team returns to Hickory on Friday, June 8, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
West Virginia will now hit the road for Charleston, South Carolina, where they are set to open up a three-game series against the Charleston RiverDogs on Monday, April 16, with first pitch of game one set for 7:05 p.m. from Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. RHP Garrett Whitlock (0-1, 3.60 ERA) gets the ball for Charleston, while West Virginia's starter has yet to be determined.

The Power return home on April 19 for an eight-game homestand against the Asheville Tourists and the Rome Braves, with tons of promotions on tap, including another Thirsty Thursday, presented by Rock 105, a postgame fireworks show, presented by Electric 102.7, and Brewfest CharlieWest on Saturday with a 2:05 p.m. first pitch, sponsored by Rock 105.
