QMJHL Moncton Wildcats

Sunday Funday in WildTown Versus the Mooseheads

March 11, 2023 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
Moncton Wildcats News Release

Don't miss our March Break finale! FYI: The 50/50 raffle has a $10,000 Jackpot guarantee.

Grab a PAL Airlines Family 4-Pack & save - 2 adult & 2 youth tickets for just $40.40 +tax/fees. Extra youth just $7.70. Or gather your group of 10+ fans & save. - call (506)382-5555 for group details.

The Wildcats are on a late-season hot streak - winning their last 6 games. They weren't all perfect or pretty but this team is learning to do what it takes to grab 2 points when it matters. Charles Beaudoin stepped up last night to end the OT, and has 10 points over the win streak. Alex Mercier has put up 7 points since his return to the linuep 5 games ago. The 17 year-old winger is contributing at key moments and making a case to keep a spot near the top of the lineup.

Forwards Preston Lounsbury (lower body), Miles Müller (upper body) and Thomas Auger (upper body) are still sidelined. Ben Mercer will be in the lineup again today.

Not much needs to be said about the Mooseheads. They can score and they have played well enough to actually catch the Remparts and challenge for 1st overall - something that didn't seem possible at the Christmas break. Halifax are 8-2 over the last 10 games but had a small hiccup last night in Bathurst, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Titan. The Wildcats have taken 3 games fromm them as well - they will be up for this one.

Former Wildcats Zachary L'Heureux is back in the Mooseheads lineup after his latest suspension.
