
Sun waive Stepherson, Chaney

Uncasville -- The Connecticut Sun waived free agents Brianne Stepherson and Brina Chaney on Sunday.
Stepherson, a 5-foot-8 guard out of Boston College, played three minutes during Saturday's 87-85 overtime loss to the Chinese National Team at Mohegan Sun Arena. Chaney is a 6-5 center from Oregon State who played eight minutes. Neither player scored.
WNBA teams must make their final cuts by 5:00 p.m. on May 19. Teams can carry a maximum of 11 active players and two injured players on their rosters.
