
Sun To Hold Auditions For Solar Power Dance Team

UNCASVILLE, CT. (March 21, 2006) - The Connecticut Sun will hold open auditions for the 2006 Solar Power Dance Team, beginning Thursday, April 6th. Round 2 of auditions will be held Saturday, April 8th with callbacks scheduled for Sunday, April 9th.
Auditions will be held in the Athletic Building of Norwich Free Academy. Registration on April 6th begins at 5:30 p.m., and auditions start at 6:30 p.m. The second round of auditions will be held April 8th at 1 p.m. The final round of auditions begin with interviews at noon followed by final auditions, which are open to the public. Tryouts are open to female and male dancers who are 18 or older by April 7, 2006.
Candidates must have previous dance training and experience, and they must commit to scheduled practices, Sun home games, playoffs, photo shoots and community events. Candidates must provide a 5x7 headshot (which won't be returned) and a current dance resume. A non-refundable $20 registration fee is also required.

Participants should dress to reflect their personal style. They must wear dance sneakers or tennis shoes with non-marking soles and have performance-ready hair and makeup.
