
Sun Academy Runs "Her Time to PlayâÃâ¬Ã Clinic

Uncasville, CT - Today, the Connecticut Sun is announcing its first Her Time to Play clinic of 2024 in celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD).
Dedicated to empowering the next generation of girls in sports and providing holistic character-development through youth basketball programming, for NGWSD, select members of the Connecticut Sun staff will run a free, 60-minute clinic, capped by a Q&A panel, featuring Connecticut Sun Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Analisse Ríos and Connecticut Sun Manager of Communications, Alexandra Maund.
Her Time To Play, the WNBA and NBA's grassroots programs, provides hundreds of youth organizations with a free basketball curriculum and life-skills lessons developed specifically for young women that prepare them for the challenges of adolescence. The clinic, the first launched under the organization's new Sun Academy platform, welcomes girls in grades 6-12 in the Groton school district, to the Groton Middle School from 3:00-4:00PM EST on February 7. All participants will receive an exclusive "Her Time To Play" t-shirt.

The Connecticut Sun's Home Opener will be against the Indiana Fever on Tuesday, May 14 at 8:00 PM EST. Individual tickets are on sale now.
