Summerside Storm's Plummer Named NBL Player of the Week

(Summerside, PE) Summerside STORM'S Greg Plummer has been named the Player of the Week in the National Basketball League of Canada for the week ending November 11, 2012.

Plummer, a 6'4" shooting guard from Brooklyn, N.Y. has scored 67 points in 3 games to start the NBL season and leads the league in scoring average and points while also being among the league leaders in steals. He has led the STORM to a 3-0 start to the NBL season.

Plummer and the Summerside STORM are on the road this coming weekend with 3 games in Ontario. On Friday night the STORM visit the league's newest franchise, the Windsor Express. On Saturday night they take on the Oshawa Power and finish the weekend set back in Windsor against the Express Sunday afternoon.

The next home action for the STORM is Friday November 23rd against the Moncton Miracles at Credit Union Place at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting www.stormbasketball.ca, by phoning 432-1234, or by stopping by Credit Union Place Box Office daily starting at 12 noon. Tickets call also be purchased anytime from the Ticketmaster Kiosk located just outside the STORM Centre at Credit Union Place.

While the STORM won't be at home until November 23rd, they will be out in the community throughout the Island this week with visits to Miscouche Consolidated, Kensington Schools, Central Queens School, West Royalty School, and starting tomorrow morning will do their first Commercial Blitz through the City of Summerside.

Looking ahead this month the STORM will also be taking part in the Charlottetown, Summerside, and Souris Santa Claus Parades.
