Summerside Storm Make It 5 in a Row

(Summerside, PE) It was two teams going in opposite directions Friday night in Saint John when the Summerside STORM improved their NBL Atlantic Division leading record to 14-9, winning their 5th in a row, by beating the Mill Rats 112-104 and handing the home team their 5th straight loss in front of just over 1,800 at Harbour Station.

Brandon Robinson led the STORM with 24 points while Omari Johnson posted a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds on the night. The Mill Rats were led by Cavell Johnson who scored a game high 25 to go with 10 rebounds.

The STORM head back to Credit Union Place in Summerside for two home games this weekend as they host the Montreal Jazz Friday night at 7 o'clock and the Oshawa Power Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

On Saturday afternoon the STORM, in cooperation with the City of Summerside, host an Island High School basketball mini-tournament put on by Three Oaks Senior High School. Action gets underway Saturday morning at 10 with Kensington playing Bluefield High. At 11:45 it's Three Oaks against Kinkora High School with the 3rd place game played at 1:30pm and the 1st place game played at 3:15.

The Summerside STORM will also be visiting the Rodd Mill River Resort Saturday afternoon from 12 to 3pm by taking part in the first annual Upwest Winterfest and all STORM fans are welcome to come and take part in all the activities.
