Power Steal One in Overtime Thriller 127-124 over Halifax

(OSHAWA, ON) Durham's team the Oshawa Power showed their resiliency by getting a come from behind win in overtime over the Halifax Rainmen 127 - 124.

The Power and Rainmen exchanged runs throughout the entire game and what was easily one of the most exciting games of the season. The Power were finally able to get control of the game late in the overtime period and grab their 13th win of the year.

Nick Okorie led the way with a game-high 37 points for the Oshawa Power. Jushay Rockett added 35 points and plucked down a team-high 8 rebounds. Shamus Ferguson continued his improving play on the defensive end and showed more assertiveness on the offensive end as well. He finished the game with 4 points and 6 rebounds off the bench for the Power.

Joey Haywood led the way for the Halifax Rainmen with 27 points. Trayvon Lathan added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the Rainmen loss.

The Power will now head on the road for a three game Atlantic coast swing beginning in Saint John to take on the Mill Rats. Tip off is set for 6:00 p.m. EST on Thursday January 18, 2013.
