
Summer Continues at Pohlman Field With Six

BELOIT, WI - Despite already having captured the First Half Western Division Title, the Beloit Snappers continue to fight for first place in the second half. They just completed a long road trip that took them to Ohio and Kentucky. Now Pohlman Field is set to light up again for six games. The Snappers will battle the Kane County Cougars (Cubs) and the Quad Cities River Bandits (Astros) in three game series'. On July 26th, the Snappers will host the Mobil Super Tour. On this evening, fans will have chances to win free merchandise and other prizes. In the press box, a Kid Announcer will be doing PA and Mobil's Mascot, Super Sam, will be on hand as well. The evening will be closed out with a spectacular fireworks show. On Sunday, the Snappers will treat fans to the second of our three bobbledoll giveaways. On this day, the spotlight will shine on Stomper, the beloved Oakland Athletics mascot. The first 500 fans will receive a Stomper bobble-belly doll, thanks to Woodman's Market. These are by no means the only events at Pohlman Field during these six games, as the Snappers present another homestand with a laundry list of offers and specials.
Wednesday, July 24th vs. Kane County Cougars, 7:00pm, Early Brew Special Social Media Wendesday
Get to the park early on Wednesday to check out the Miller "On Deck" in right field. The deck will be open from 4:00pm to 5:30pm and fans can enter free of charge for $1.50 drafts of Miller and Leinenkugel. On Social Media Wednesday, the fans are the ones who choose the daily promotion. Visit the Snappers Facebook page or their Twitter account, @Snappersbaseball, and vote on what we will be offering during that night's game.
Thursday, July 25th vs. Kane County Cougars, 7:00pm, Snappy Hour
Beer and soda can be had for just $1 as part of Snappy Hour on Thursday. At the Firehouse Grill, 8oz drafts of Miller Lite will be priced at $1 while small sodas at the main stand are $1. Visit the Sud's O'Hanahan's Bullpen Deck and the Miller "On Deck" and grab a rail mixed drink for $3.
Friday, July 26th vs. Kane County Cougars, 7:00pm, Mobil Super Tour Night
The Mobil 40-foot Super branded tour will make a stop at Pohlman Field on this night for what promises to be a night of family fun. Mobil Super brand ambassadors will greet fans outside the ballpark and hand out coupons and souvenirs. All sorts of prizes will be available for fans to win both through a prize wheel and on-field events, such as the Dizzy Dipstick Race and a T-Shirt Gun firing shirts into the crowd. Presiding over all this will be Super Sam! Beloit is just one of 52 stops in 16 states for the Mobil Super Go the Distance Tour, which will cover 500,000 miles.
Saturday, July 27th vs. Quad Cities River Bandits, 7:00pm, Christofferson Moving and Storage Fireworks Night
Another fireworks night means another great night at Pohlman Field and this one is courtesy of Christofferson Moving and Storage. The game isn't the only show on this night, as our friends at Christofferson and Melrose Pyrotechnics will provide fans with the best fireworks show you can find in the Stateline.
Sunday, July 28th vs. Quad Cities River Bandits, 2:00pm, Stomper Bobbledoll Giveaway, Stateline News Family Fun Sunday
Sunday will give fans the chance to grab the second of three Snappers 2013 bobble-dolls. A bobble-belly doll of Stomper, the iconic Oakland Athletics mascot, will be given to the first 500 fans through the Pohlman Field gates. Also, don't forget to check your Sunday Stateline News for a buy-one, get-one coupon to Stateline News Family Fun Sunday. Leinie's 12oz bottles are just $2, sponsored by Ott Schweitzer Distributing. After the game, kids can take the field to run the bases and play catch in the outfield, weather permitting.
